Children's Commissioner's Views on Priorities for Children in New Zealand

This is the report that our Office submitted to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child in March 2020.

This report will inform the 'List of Issues Prior to Reporting' for New Zealand's 6th periodic review under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. The 6th periodic review will be undertaken for the first time under the Committee's ‘Simplified Reporting Process’.

Our report has a focus on the Commissioner's four key priorities and includes questions that the Committee may wish to ask the New Zealand government about their implementation of the Children's Convention.
